To help them ease into their holiday surroundings take along a familiar blanket, toy or bed. Also, make sure you bring own towel in case they get wet, require a bath, or get sick.

Ensure that your pet has a collar with an ID tag with your pet’s name, your name, address and phone number. Some dog owners use editable tags so that they can record the address of their accommodation whilst on holiday.  You should take along some identification for your pet i.e. your registration papers and vaccination card in case a visit to a local vet is required at your travel destination.
