Tips for pet owners coming to Cairns
Yorkeys Knob Tourist Information Centre loves pets and pet owners. They give a discount off All Cairns Tours and activities. Just contact them to save and for lots of free information on Cairns and the region. Coming to a new location like Cairns, animals can easily become stressed in a new environment and this can affect their behaviour and eating patterns. To help them ease into their holiday surroundings take along a familiar blanket, toy or bed. Also, make sure you bring own towel in case they get wet, require a bath, or get sick.
Ensure that your pet has a collar with an ID tag with your pet’s name, your name, address and phone number. Some dog owners use editable tags so that they can record the address of their accommodation whilst on holiday. You should take along some identification for your pet i.e. your registration papers and vaccination card in case a visit to a local vet is required at your travel destination.
