Cairns Birdwatching Facilities and Information:

Peter, the Villa Marine Holiday Apartments’ manager, studied under Ken Simpson (author of Birds of Australia) and can provide you with local knowledge on Cairns birding and North Queensland birding locations.

Also we are members of Birds of Australia and are the award winner from Cairns Tourism Association 2011. In 2012 Villa Marine won the Tourism Tropical North Queensland annual award for the best standard accommodation in the region.

Our extensive tour and information office has one of the largest ranges of Cairns birding tours and Cairns wildlife tours in the region.

We also organise reef trips to Michelmas Cay — a noted seabird sanctuary. We do this as a service to all birdwatchers visiting Cairns, you don’t have to stay with us to book this service.
